Intensive Tutoring (13 years and under)
Intensive tutoring is provided by a BCBA for students needing a highly structured and intense level of instruction in order to achieve fluency in academic, social, communication and/or self care skills. Intensive tutoring involves the following components:

1:1 instruction, four or more hours a week

based on the principles of ABA

empirically-validated positive programming, including: task analysis, adaptations, multi-sensory instruction, prompting, errorless learning, and differential reinforcement

individualized curriculum based on functional behavior and skill assessments

focus on building social, communication, and academic skills, while reducing behaviors that interfere with learning and making friends.
